Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed officials to speed up the work on the upcoming Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Bhopal ensuring completion of the project on time.
Chairing a meeting to review progress of construction of the AIIMS in Bhopal on Friday,Chouhan directed all concerned officials to make provisions in their respective budgets for ensuring time-bound completion of works related to their departments,an official release said on Saturday.
The Chief Minister directed the Madhya Kshtra Vidyut Vitran Companys Chairman,Sanjay Shukla to install the 132-KV power sub-station immediately for AIIMS and directed the revenue officials to provide land free of cost for the purpose,to the power company.
He also directed the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department officials to remove two drainages passing through the residential area of AIIMS and also another from the institute area,it said.
The Urban Administration Department officials said on the occasion that water supply to the institute will be provided through the Narmada water pipeline which is being laid in the city.
Chouhan also reviewed the progress of the construction of an alternate road connecting Bagh Mugalia/Arvind Vihar area so that the present road which is passing through the middle of the institute can be closed at the earliest.
He also directed the Energy Department to shift the High Tension line passing through the campus and also asked other concerned officials to free the area of all the encroachments at the earliest.
The Health and Family Welfare Minister,Anoop Mishra,Principal Secretary Vijaya Shrivastava,Energy Secretary SPS Parihar,Additional Secretary to Chief Minister Vivek Agrawal and Bhopal Collector Shiv Shekhar Shukla among others were present on the occasion.
