Militants on Saturday hurled a hand grenade at a security force patrol party in Pulwama district of south Kashmir but no damage was caused by the explosion, officials said.
The ultras lobbed the grenade toward the patrol of 184 battalion CRPF at Kakapora town,20 kms from here,at around 11.30 am,they said.
The grenade landed in the premises of the Kakapora police post, which was destroyed in an arson incident in September this year during violent protests.
There was no loss of life or property reported in the incident but the loud explosion caused panic among the passers by,they said.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
