Militant supporter arrested under PSA in Doda,sent to jail

A militant sympathiser was booked under Public Safety Act in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir and sentenced to one year imprisonment,officials said on Thursday.

District Magistrate Doda slapped PSA on Over Ground Worker (OGW) Nazir Khan after the police in Bhaderwah tehsil of Doda district confirmed about his involvement in militancy in the area,they said.

He was arrested and sent to Kotbawal Central jail here,they said,adding that police had also recovered 2 rifles and grenades from him last week.

He was providing logistic support to militants as a guide,informer,harbourer,messenger and transportation of arms for militants,they said.
