Militant hideout busted in J-K

The forces recovered a rusted tin box containing nearly 10 kgs of explosive material which was destroyed on the spot.

A militant hideout was busted today and 10 kgs of explosive material recovered from forests in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district by security forces,officials said.

The hideout was unearthed when a joint team of police and troops of 28 Rashtriya Rifles launched search operations in Khangoor Nar-Doorsu forests in Kupwara this morning,they said.

The forces recovered a rusted tin box containing nearly 10 kgs of explosive material which was destroyed on the spot.

There was no loss of life or injury in the incident,the officials added.
