Jawan injured in accidental fire in Udhampur

A jawan was injured when his service rifle accidentally went off in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir,police officials said here on Friday.

Jatinder Singh of Agra,a Rashtriya Rifle jawan,was hit by a bullet when his rifle accidentally went off in Rai Chak forest belt in Basantgarh during a search and cordon operation in Udhampur district late last night,they said.

He was rushed to Udhampur hospital,where his condition is state to be out of danger,they said.
