Ease restrictions while travelling across LoC: NC leader

Senior National Conference and MP Mohammad Shafi Uri has appealed to the leaders of India and Pakistan to ease the restrictions on travel of Kashmiris across the Line of Control (LoC).

“We make a strong appeal to the leaders of India and Pakistan to issue travel documents to the Kashmiris living across the LoC in the same way as it happened during Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah’s period,so that people do not face hardships while travelling,” Uri said.

He said NC has always wished for a friendship between India and Pakistan,and advocated resolution of the Kashmir issue through peace talks.

The senior NC leader also appealed to reopen all those routes,which were open prior to 1947.
