Boat capsize toll mounts to five

With the recovery of one more body,the death toll after a boat capsized in Bihar’s Araria district On Wednesday rose to five and search continued for remaining six missing persons,an official said.

The fifth body was recovered from Panar river this morning,Sub-divisional Officer Vinod Kumar said adding that one woman and two children were among the casualties.

Four persons had initially drowned and many went missing when the boat capsized near Rampur ghat under Bairgachi police picket on Tuesday.

Divers are still looking for the missing persons,who are feared to have been drowned,he said.
