Jammu and Kashmir government has said that it is preparing a roadmap to pay sixth Pay Commission arrears to its employees.

Jammu and Kashmir government has said that it is preparing a roadmap to pay sixth Pay Commission arrears to its employees.

“The roadmap is being prepared for payment of sixth Pay Commission arrears with effect from January 2006,” Chief Secretary S S Kapur said during an interaction with a delegation of Employees Joint Action Committee here on Tuesday.

The Chief Secretary said the government has fulfilled most of the demands of its employees despite financial constraints and limited resources.

“The employees should welcome the positive approach of the government,” he said.

He said cabinet sub-committee has also finalised its report with regard to pay anomalies,which will be discussed with employees union before its submission to the Cabinet for a decision.

Kapur said the issue of regularisation of daily wagers would also be settled soon after their engagement details are received from the concerned departments.
