No evidence in drug charge against Majithia

The report “The Drugnet” appearing in The Sunday Express of July 6 had included a photograph of Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia in a box headlined “Big Catch”. There was an error in carrying Majithia’s photograph and any hurt caused to him is regretted. As the report makes it clear, although his name was mentioned by drug kingpin Jagdish Bhola, there is no evidence of Majithia’s alleged involvement in the drug racket. Petitions filed in this regard against him have also been dismissed by the High Court. Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has also made it clear that Bhola took Majithia’s name at the behest of the Congress.
