In a special letter to Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, President Droupadi Murmu has stressed upon the importance of working towards “peaceful and stable relations” between the two countries. In the letter dated September 27, which was shared by Chinese Ambassador to India Xu Feihong on X, Murmu said: “As two large neighbours with many common developmental challenges and shared regional interests, it is important that we work towards peaceful and stable relations between our two countries. I look forward to working with you to realise a mutually beneficial relationship and leverage our respective strengths for the benefit of people of both countries and the region and world.”
