Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO) Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bengaluru on Saturday to congratulate ISRO scientists for the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission.

Accordingly traffic restrictions have been imposed on roads leading to the ISRO facility from 6.30 am to 9.30 am.

“Warm welcome to PM Modi as he arrives in Bengaluru to congratulate ISRO scientists for the successful Chandrayaan 3 mission,” former Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said on social media on Friday.

Police officials said the PM is expected to reach ISTRAC by 7.30 am and interact with the scientists to get a first hand view of the mission.

Modi was in Bengaluru in September 2019 when the Chandrayaan-2 landing failed. This time he was in  Johannesburg for the BRICS summit when Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon. On August 23, the PM said the succesful landing signified India’s emergence as a developed country.
