PM Modi Mann Ki Baat 100th Episode Live Updates (April 30): Prime Minister Narendra Modi's radio show 'Mann Ki Baat' completed 100 episodes today. Beginning the 100th episode, he said that like Vijayadashmi, Mann Ki Baat has also become an occasion to celebrate Indians' goodness, optimism, positivity and people's participation. Started airing in October 2014, in the last eight-and-a-half years, the radio show most touched upon topics that included yoga, women-led initiatives, youth and cleanliness. The sacrifices and valour of Indian soldiers, cultural heritage, the stories of Padma awardees, science and environment and khadi have also been spoken about at length on several occasions, as per the transcripts of the episodes. While the episodes broadcast between 2014 and 2019 were more general and motivational in nature, the subsequent episodes projected a lot of government policies and initiatives. During the two years of Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns — 2020 and 2021 — almost all episodes had a capsule on health-related concerns, such as following Covid-appropriate behaviour, vaccinations, lockdowns and consequent reopening. Meanwhile, taking a jibe at Modi, Congress called the radio show a "Maun Ki Baat", saying the prime minister remained quiet on critical issues like standoff at LAC, alleged fraud by the Adani group, economic inequalities and protest by wrestlers against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over "sexual harassment".
