The notices were dismissed by the House Speaker, prompting loud protests in the Parliament. Opposition MPs like Sanjay Singh, Ranjeet Ranjan, Akhilesh Prasad Singh, and others filed notices in their respective Houses, which where dismissed under the provisions of Rule 267. On Wednesday, Opposition MPs protested against the dismissal of their notices by the Speaker, leading to ruckus in the House and eventual adjournment till Thursday morning.

Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, known for handling the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack trials, took oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

As the monsoon session enters its fourth day, the Lok Sabha is set to discuss key legislations, including the scheduled tribes reservation bill for Goa and the Merchant Shipping Bill, on Thursday.
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will move The Readjustment of Representation of Scheduled Tribes in Assembly Constituencies of the State of Goa Bill, 2024, for consideration and passage.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday claimed that there is something fishy about Jagdeep Dhankhar's resignation as the vice president and asked the government to clarify on it.
Kharge claimed that Dhankhar used to "defend" the BJP and the RSS more than the the BJP-RSS people themselves, but still had to resign.
"The government must answer why he resigned, what are the reasons, what is the secret behind it. We feel that 'daal mein kuch kaala hai (there is something fishy)'. He seems healthy and always keeps a good vocabulary. But what happened? He used to defend the BJP and the RSS more than the BJP-RSS people themselves," the Congress president said.
