Opposition leaders held the national flag as they marched from Parliament House up to Vijay Chowk. Party leaders from like-minded Opposition parties like the DMK, Samajwadi Party, RJD, Shiv Sena (UBT), AAP and NCP participated in the march. Opposition leaders have also boycotted the customary ‘Evening Tea’ hosted by Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla after the House was adjourned, sources confirmed to The Indian Express. The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 2 pm today.
Lok Sabha proceedings have been disrupted since the Budget session began on March 13 due to protests by Opposition and treasury benches. While the Opposition demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani-Hindenburg issue, the BJP is continuing its demand for an apology from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his democracy is under attack remarks made in London.

Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Thursday slammed Congress and other Opposition parties for disrupting Parliament and wearing black clothes, as Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die on the last day of the Budget Session amid protests. Flanked by Rajya Sabha Leader of House Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal, Rijiju said the Congress and its 'gangs' were disrupting Parliament for the sake of one person – Rahul Gandhi.
"Even on the last day, Congress and its friends disrupted the House. They wore black clothes and insulted Parliament again,' Rijiju said. 'This is unfortunate for the country. We want the dignity of Parliament to be maintained. What Congress and its supporters are doing for one MP, Rahul Gandhi, the nation is watching," he said. (PTI)

Stepping up an attack on the Congress, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said, "Today, again Congress MPs and other opposition leaders today created a ruckus in the House. The country is seeing what Congress is doing. Congress neither believes in the Constitution of India nor respects the law".
"We are demanding JPC probe into Adani issue, but why is govt afraid when it will have majority in panel," asked Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge during a press conference in New Delhi.

While addressing a press conference after conducting a 'Tiranga March' from Parliament to Vijay Chowk, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge slammed the BJP government o ver the budget session and said "50 lakh crore rupees budget passed in 12 minutes without discussion".
The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm on Thursday after an uproar by the opposition members demanding a JPC probe into the Adani issue. Soon after laying of papers, opposition members were on their feet demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani issue and raising slogans.
As Congress leader Digvijaya Singh sought to raise the Adani issue accusing the government of not willing to order a JPC probe, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said while the rest of the opposition members were dressed in white only he was wearing a black outfit. As the standoff between the government and the Opposition in Parliament continued, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday rejected a “point of order” raised by Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge that there cannot be any discussion or reference to Rahul Gandhi in the Upper House since he was not a member of the House. Rahul was then a Lok Sabha member.
Kharge had objected to Leader of the House Piyush Goyal demanding an apology from Rahul over the latter’s remarks in London that “democracy is under attack” in India. Goyal had not named Rahul. Read here

The Congress on Wednesday said presiding officers in legislatures are expected to be fair, even-handed and non-partisan, and cannot display their biases or their loyalty to the ruling party.
The assertion by Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh did not name anyone, but came soon after Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar rejected Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge's point of order that Rajya Sabha cannot discuss about a Lok Sabha member or anyone who is not a member of the Upper House.
On March 13, Kharge had raised a point of order on the assertion by Leader of the House and Union minister Piyush Goyal's demand that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi apologise for his democracy remarks in the UK. (PTI)

Leaders of Congress, DMK, Samajwadi Party, Shiv Sena (UBT), TMC, AAP, JD(U), CPI, CPI(M), RJD, JMM, RSP and IUML, among others, attended the meeting.
Dressed in black as a mark of protest, the opposition MPs decided to continue to press their demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into allegations of corporate fraud and stock price manipulations against the Adani Group. Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi and the Congress on Wednesday, alleging the party has been left with no ideology except the one of a "traitor" which works against the country. The BJP leader attacked the Congress for according Rahul Gandhi a "special treatment" following his conviction in a defamation case and accused the party of pressuring the judiciary, and doing everything possible to stay relevant.

Locked in a bitter tussle with the BJP over Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification as MP after he was sentenced to two-year imprisonment in a defamation case, Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Tuesday wrote to Speaker Om Birla and raised the question of “equality of law”. He pointed out that a BJP member did not face disqualification in 2016 when he was convicted in a criminal case and sentenced to a three-year jail term.
Chowdhury wrote there was an “uncanny similarity” between Rahul’s case and Amreli MP Naranbhai Bhikhabhai Kachhadiya in 2016. Click the link to read
