Nimisha Priya Yemen Case Explained: The execution of an Indian nurse, Nimisha Priya, convicted in the murder of Yemeni citizen Talal Abdo Mehdi in 2018, which was set to be conducted on July 16, has been postponed. A local court in Yemen had handed out a death sentence to Priya in the case. Sources in the government said that the Indian government, which has since the beginning of the case been rendering all possible assistance in the matter, made concerted efforts in recent days to seek more time for the family to reach a mutually agreeable solution with the other party.
