Rajdhani Express train launch: Today, September 13, marks a historic day for Mizoram as the state is set to get rail connectivity with the rest of the country. With the inauguration of the Bairabi–Sairang railway line and introduction of Rajdhani Express train between Sairang and Anand Vihar Terminal, the long-cherished dream of direct train connectivity between Aizawl and New Delhi - the two capital cities - becomes a reality. Sairang Rajdhani Express Inaugural Run Mizoram's first Rajdhani Express will commence its inaugural run today. The Sairang-Anand Vihar Terminal Rajdhani Express will run as train number 02507. During its inaugural run, the Sairang Rajdhani Express train will cover a distance of 2,512 km in around 42 hours. This will be the only train on the route. The train will run via Guwahati. Aizawl Rajdhani Express Route On its inaugural run today, the train number 02507 Sairang-Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT) Rajdhani Inaugural Special will stop at 18 stations. These are: Bairabi, Hailakandi, Badarpur, New Haflong, Hojai, Guwahati, Rangiya Junction, Barpeta Road, New Bongaigaon, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Sahibganj Junction, Bhagalpur, Jamalpur Junction, Patna Junction, Pt Deen Dayal Upadahyaya Junction and Kanpur Central. Sairang to Delhi Rajdhani Express: Commercial Operation The commercial operation of train number 20507 Sairang-Anand Vihar Terminal Rajdhani Express will begin on September 19. On the other hand, train number 20508 Anand Vihar Terminal-Sairang Rajdhani Express will commence its commercial run on September 21. Sairang to Anand Vihar Terminal Rajdhani Express: Ticket Booking Begins The ticket booking for Sairang to Anand Vihar Terminal Rajdhani Express train has started. One can book the train ticket at both: Online and Offline mode. The Aizawl-Delhi Rajdhani Express train will have three types of coaches: AC 3 Tier (3A), AC 2 Tier (2A) and AC First Class (1A). The ticket price for travelling in an AC 3 Tier between Sairang and Anand Vihar Terminal is Rs 3625. For AC 2 Tier, this comes up to Rs 4820. The ticket price for travelling in AC First Class is Rs 7890 for the entire route.
