Provide Rs 10 lakh each to Bhopal victims’ kin: MP Cong

The Madhya Pradesh Congress has appealed in a letter to UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to provide compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of those killed in the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy.

“A compensation of Rs 10 lakh each should be paid to the next of kin of those who have died in the Bhopal gas disaster,” State Congress Spokesman Arif Masood said.

Besides,Rs 5 lakh each should be provided to those whose health was affected by the industrial disaster,Masood said.

The Congress leader said he had written a letter about these demands to party president Sonia Gandhi.
