Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily on Friday described as “anti-democratic and an unprecedented act” the leakage of the draft report of PAC,headed by Murli Manohar Joshi,on the 2G spectrum scam.
The leakage also amounted to “breach of privilege of Parliment”,Moily told reporters here.
He said the Public Accounts Committee should have adopted the report unanimously after arriving at a consensus on various issues.
The draft report was “rejected” by 11 of the 21-member PAC on Thursday amid chaos after UPA representatives and one each of BSP and SP voted against it before Joshi walked out.
The draft report which was sharply critical of Prime
Minister, his office and others had been opposed by seven
Congress MPs,supported by two from DMK,who alleged it had been “outsourced” and attacked Joshi seeking to put him in the dock over the leakage.
