Gurgaon police arrested another accused and recovered the Toyota Altis involved in Thursdays incident,in which two women alleged that they were gangraped in a moving car.
Commissioner of Police (Gurgaon) Alok Mittal said: The main accused,Dharambir,is the driver who picked up the women from a club on MG Road and then involved his other taxi driver friends. He has been arrested. The Altis has also been recovered.
Earlier,police said there were two versions of the incident. While the women alleged they were raped in a moving car,the accused claimed to have raped the women after stopping the car on the Faridabad road. Investigation revealed that the version of the accused was true,police said.
Police said Dharambir was arrested from Dor Kalan,in Mahendragarh. Investigations have revealed that he locked the car to trap the women and took the car off the Gurgaon-Faridabad route. The seventh accused is still on the run,police said.
