Ayodhya dispute: Two litigants have a ‘solution’

The two will put forth the formula in writing before the Supreme Court, most probably by Dec 10.

Two main litigants of the Ayodhya title suit case,Mahant Gyan Das and Hashim Ansari, said they would put forth a formula before the Supreme Court to resolve the vexed issue.

“We would await all petitioners in the case to reach the apex court to challenge the Allahabad High Court judgement as decided by them. There,we would present the formula worked out by us in a written form,” Das and Hashim Ansari told newspersons in a joint press conference.

Yesterday,Ansari had reportedly said the formula would be made public by December 10.

Das,who was recently removed as president of the Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad at a meeting in Allahabad, blamed VHP and its chief Ashok Singhal for creating a rift in the body.

“VHP is a group of thugs and they do not want the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya at any cost,” Gyan Das said, adding they were more interested in politics and instigating riots.

“It were the vested interests who created a rift in the Akhara Parishad while we were busy working out an acceptable formula to resolve the vexed problems,” Das said.

Das,who had earlier claimed that he was still president of the Akhara Parishad, said he would resign from the post before January 2011.

“I was elected president of the All India Akhara Parishad for five years but have been on the post for seven years now… I also do not keep well and would resign before January,” Gyan Das added.
