VHP International President Ashok Singhal on Friday said the only way to resolve the Ayodhya dispute was to pass a legislation unamimously in Parliament to construct a Ram temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi site.
“Ayodhya dispute is not property dispute but a religious faith dispute which could not be solved by court verdicts,” he told reporters after offering worship at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala near here.
To create awareness among Hindus at the grassroot level on the need of construction of the Ram temple,VHP under the banner of ‘Hanuman Shakti Jagran Samithi’ would recite Hanuman Chalisa stanzas 11 times every day in temples for four months from August 16,birth anniversary of Thulasidas who composed the stanzas,he said.
He would participate in the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa programme to be conducted by VHP’s Kerala unit at Guruvayoor on December 16 (concluding day).
He criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his remarks on possible autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir, saying Kashmir was part and parcel of India.
He said religious leaders should govern the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, administering the hill shrine, and politicians be kept away in the wake of alleged scams and irregularities amounting to crores of rupees.
