On Monday, the Delhi High Court had rejected Balwa’s plea for an early disposal of his petition claiming that the Maharashtra government and Intelligence Bureau have found no evidence against him of alleged links with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

The Etisalat DB Telecom company, earlier known as Swan Telecom,is also facing CBI and ED probes in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.

In his application,Balwa claimed the Anti-terror Squad of Mumbai police and IB,after a thorough inquiry, have found no documents against him and despite the report the Centre has failed to file any affidavit so far.

Balwa, who was arrested by CBI last evening from his Bandra residence in Mumbai, was brought to the national capital today.
