Poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Friday demanded action against Tamil Nadu leader Senthamizhan Seeman for "asking Hindi-speaking people to pack up their luggage and leave". Kishor also posted a video of Seeman, chief coordinator of Naam Tamilar Katchi, in which the latter could be seen saying in Tamil that he "would not know how many (of such Hindi-speaking people) he would himself beat up". Seeman said this on February 13 while campaigning for the Erode East bypoll. Kishor, currently on a padyatra across the state, tweeted: "All those who used fake videos to incite hate & violence must be dealt with as per the law. But this doesn’t absolve those who’re openly calling for violence against #Hindi speaking people in #TN Why no action against likes of @SeemanOfficial for their vitriolic utterances?" The Tamil Nadu police had registered a case against Seeman on February 22 and the investigation is on. A senior officer said: “ Seeman's remarks were not only against North Indians, but also against the Dalit Arunthathiyar community.”
