Thereafter, the CJM sent Naved to the Kot Bhalwal jail till September 4.

Though what Naved told the CJM was not known, he is understood to have confessed everything right from his training at a Pakistan terror camp to his infiltration into the state through the LoC. He is learnt to have spoken of the places where he stayed at in the Valley and the areas in Jammu he visited with Nomen, another Lashkar terrorist.

Naved and Nomen had attacked a BSF convoy, killing two jawans and injuring nearly a dozen others at Narsu nullah. While Nomen was killed in retaliatory fire by paramilitary personnel, Naved was captured alive by villagers whom he held hostage.
