Two acres of poppy destroyed in Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir police destroyed the banned crop spread over two acres in Pulwama district.

Continuing its drive against poppy cultivation,Jammu and Kashmir police destroyed the banned crop spread over two acres in Pulwama district.

Police destroyed the illegal crop by setting it on fire at villages Buchoo,Amlar,Chursoo and Khenibug-Lethpora in Awantipora,32 kms from here,a police spokesman said.

No one was arrested during the operation,he added.
