Shoppers bare all for free grocery in Germany

Customers stripped down to their birthday suits to fill up their carts with food,sodas and wine.

Around 250 shoppers turned up in the nude at a German supermarket,last week,after the store offered to treat its first hundred patrons to free groceries worth 276 dollars,if they showed up naked.

A YouTube video of the grand opening of the store shows customers waiting in a que outside the store before stripping down to their birthday suits and filling up their carts with food,sodas and wine.

The store’s manager Nils Sterndorff said that he was shocked that the gimmick actually worked.

I never thought a hundred people would come,I thought maybe more like ten, the New York Daily News said.

According to the German news website,so many nudes flocked to the ‘Priss’ supermarket that police only allowed groups of 20 people to enter the store at a time.

Police said that most of the naked customers were Danish,as the store is located in the city of Suderlugum,near the German-Danish border. (ANI)
