Militant-turned-SPO kills brother-in-law; injures wife in J-K

They were shifted to Government Medical College hospital in Jammu where Malik succumbed to injuries while Rehmata was battling for her life,the officials said.

The police have seized the rifle used in the firing,and arrested Gafoor and registered a case against him,they said.

Gafoor,who belonged to Thatri area of Doda district,had surrendered before the army as a militant. Later he joined the police as an SPO in Ramban district.

Gafoor allegedly suspected the character of his wife which led to the incident.
