Militant hideout busted,explosives recovered

Security forces have busted a militant hideout and recovered 43 kilograms explosives in Budgam district of Kashmir,a defence spokesman said on Saturday.

“On specific information about presence of terrorists in area of Dhurmuna (in Budgam),a joint operation was launched by Army and police on Friday and a cache comprising 43 kilograms of high explosives was recovered,” the spokesman said.

He said the explosives,which were buried,were detected by the Army’s dog squad.

“A bomb disposal team was rushed to the spot and the explosives were destroyed,” he added.
