Man held for raping minor step-daughter

A Kasim Hamid Shaikh,41,was arrested from Bhiwandi for allegedly raping his mentally-challenged step-daughter,police said on Thursday.

A Kasim Hamid Shaikh,41,was arrested from Bhiwandi for allegedly raping his mentally-challenged step-daughter,police said on Thursday. Shaikh was apprehended on Wednesday after the girl lodged a complaint against him with the help of some locals,the official said,adding that the accused was booked under Section 376 of the IPC. The girl has been sent for a medical examination.
