Involve MLAs in developmental activities in J-K: Speaker

Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Speaker Mohammad Akbar Lone on Monday asked the state government to involve MLAs in developmental activities in their respective constituencies.

The Speaker gave the ruling in the House during Question Hour.

He also said that MLAs should be involved in implementation of decisions taken by the District Development Board in their constituencies.

Earlier,Minister of State for Finance and Planning,Manohar Lal Sharma informed the House that the decisions taken in various district board meetings with regard to development activities are being examined for early implementation.

Keeping in view the developmental needs of the districts,Chief Minister Omar Abdullah,this year,decided to increase the allocations by 15 per cent,he said.
