Amid high drama,Haryana's former deputy chief minister Chander Mohan's second wife Fiza on Wednesday alleged that he had been kidnapped at the behest of his family which had opposed their marriage but he denied it within hours and indicated he was near Delhi. A tearful Fiza created a stir telling reporters that her husband Chander alias Chand Mohammad, former chief minister Bhajan Lal's son who had converted to Islam to marry a second time, had been forcibly taken away from home by close associates of his brother Kuldeep Bishnoi. However,Bishnoi claimed the family had disowned Chand last month and were not in touch with him. "We have no contact with him. The Bhajan Lal family is not concerned about Chander Mohan since he had been disowned for marrying another girl and converting to Islam," Bishnoi said when asked about Chand's disappearance. But within hours,Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police J P S Aulakh said 43-year-old Chand had told police and his wife on phone that he had not been abducted. Fiza,37,also spoke to her husband in the evening. "He (Chand) told me that he is near Delhi," she told reporters. "I went by myself.I am not a child who will disappear suddenly," Chand told mediapersons on phone after police reached the residence of Fiza alias Anuradha Bali,a former Assistant Haryana Advocate General. He,however, did not divulge his whereabouts. Fiza said she was ready to take back her complaint to police about the abduction of her husband. Fiza had earlier alleged that Bishnoi was harassing and threatening her husband since they came out in the open about their marriage. Chand was the deputy chief minister in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government but was sacked after he disappeared for over a month following his second marriage. Chand and Fiza had also announced that they would be making a movie on their love story.
