HC: Report on PTU hiring in 3 months

In 2011,an NGO,Anti-Corruption Society,had filed a PIL against the alleged illegal appointments made by the PTU.

The PIL had challenged the appointments of assistant registrars,assistant professors,deputy registrars,two members of the BoG and six consultants of PTU vice-chancellor.

It had added that these appointments were not made according to norms and huge salaries were being paid to some consultants who have no experience but only because they close to the V-C.

Advocate G S Sahni,appearing for Anti-Corruption Society,said: “If the petitioner is not satisfied with the BoG’s report as well as action proposed in this regard,it can knock move court.”
