Fodder scam: Among others convicted,ex-CM Jagannath Mishra and a JD(U) MP

Another convict,Jagdish Sharma,is the JD(U) MP from Jehanabad.

Besides RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav,there are many prominent names among the 44 others convicted in the fodder scam.

One of them is former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra,who was with the Congress before he switched to the JD(U). Mishra’s son,Nitish Mishra,is a minister in the Nitish Kumar government.

Another convict,Jagdish Sharma,is the JD(U) MP from Jehanabad. His son,Rahul Sharma,is the MLA from Ghoshi. According to the CBI investigation,Jagdish Sharma,who was then chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC),helped Lalu by stalling the fodder scam probe.

R K Rana,then an RJD MLA,went on to become the MP from Khagaria. Dhruv Bhagat,then a BJP MLA who was a member of the PAC,was sent to Ranchi jail after he was convicted in another case last June. Bhagat has since left the BJP.

Vidyasagar Nishad,then Animal Husbandry Minister,is still with the RJD.
