Dhaula Kuan rape case: Five convicts get life sentence, fine of Rs 50,000 imposed

The court sentenced Usman, Shahid, Iqbal and Kamruddin to life imprisonment for gangrape of a 30-year-old call centre executive.

A Delhi court on Monday sentenced all five convicts to life imprisonment in the 2010 Dhaula Kuan gang rape case.

Additional Sessions Judge Virender Bhat sentenced Usman, Shahid, Iqbal and Kamruddin to life imprisonment for gangrape of a 30-year-old call centre executive.

The court has also sentenced the the accused for seven years imprisonment for abduction charges, five years rigorous imprisonment for charges of criminal intimidation. The court has imposed a fine a fine of Rs 50,000 on all the convicts.

The Delhi court had earlier convicted the five accused of charges rape and abduction of the a 30-year old call centre executive.
