Delhi shame: Girl in search of job sold,raped

A 16-year-old girl from Haryana,who was lured by a woman and sold to two persons who along with others repeadedly raped her.

A 16-year-old girl from Haryana,seeking job in Delhi,was lured by a woman and allegedly sold for Rs one lakh to two persons who along with three others repeatedly raped her,police said here today.

Two persons had been arrested on charges of purchasing and repeatedly raping the girl who hailed from Palwal district,they said.

Three others,one of them a resident of Jahangirpuri in Delhi,allegedly involved in the sordid episode,were still at large,police said adding efforts were on to apprehend them.

Both the arrested persons,one of them who allegedly bought the girl,were from Sonepat district,police said.

The teenager,who went to the national capital in search of job,was spotted at the railway station by a woman who took her home in Jahangirpuri in North Delhi on the pretext of providing her employment,police said.

She later sold her to a father-son duo who along with three others allegedly criminally assaulted the girl,they said.

The girl,however,managed to escape and informed police about her plight.

Jagdish,a resident of Sonepat who allegedly bought the girl,had been arrested while his son was absconding,police said.
