BJP wants IPL final put off

MUMBAI:The state BJP wants the IPL final on Sunday to be put off till the probe into the betting and spot-fixing scam is completed. No one is ready to trust the outcome of the match. For the sake of cricket,IPL should call off this match at least for the period of the ongoing inquiry, party spokesperson Madhav Bhandari said. He also called for nationalisation of IPL,asking government to take control of the league.

Rahul state visit likely on May 27

MUMBAI:Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is likely to visit Maharashtra on May 27 and tour the drought-hit districts of Osmanabad and Jalna. He is expected to visit cattle camps and review desiltation of lakes. Osmanabad and Jalna in Marathwada are the worst hit by drought. Gandhi is also expected to hold feedback meetings on Congress prospects in Lok Sabha election.
