BJP may dump HJC, go solo in Haryana polls

Shah pointed out that PM Narendra Modi served as the party’s Har-yana in charge for several years. “He even started his Vijay Sankalp Yatra from Rewari. We expect people of the state to give us a chance,” he said.

He attacked the Congress, which has been ruling the state for the past two consecutive terms, and blamed it for the problems in the state. “Those who sought votes in Haryana in the name of farmers were going to destroy them by signing the WTO agreement. There was pressure from the world on Modiji to sign the WTO deal but he didn’t succumb,” he said. “We want farmers to be prosperous and they should get a fair price,” Shah said.

Attacking the Hooda government, he said, “All he cares for is the Delhi durbar and how to please durbaris. My unit has prepared a list of scams and I will soon start to unveil these,” the BJP chief said.

He alleged that backward classes were exploited and rape cases increased under the Hooda regime. “Give us a chance we will make Haryana a prosperous state again,” he added. Indicating that the party was against any alliance with former partner INLD, he said, “Whenever Chautala comes to power goondaism increases and every time Hooda is in power corruption increases.”
