The Assam government on Thursday announced its decision to set up a Centre for Innovation after the name of former President APJ Abdul Kalam, chief minister Tarun Gogoi said.
Gogoi said the proposed APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Innovation would help to engage young minds of Assam as well as other states of the North-eastern region in carrying out exercises in entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity.
“The proposed Centre named after the great scientist, super human being and a teacher par excellence would help to ignite the young minds towards entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity, thus helping to transform the lives of the common man and bringing smiles on their faces,” chief minister Gogoi in a press release added.
