The appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Wednesday approved handing over the additional charge of several Secretary-level posts to officers following the superannuation of their incumbents. Secretary (Coordination and Public Grievances) in Cabinet Secretariat Sanjay Kumar Srivastava has been given the additional charge of the post of Chairman, National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention. Srivastava’s additional charge has been cleared for “three months or till appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders, whichever is the earliest”. Srivastava has also been given the additional charge of the post of Secretary (Security) in the Cabinet Secretariat. [related-post] The ACC also cleared the assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Legislative Department to Department of Legal Affairs Secretary P K Malhotra. Department of Public Enterprises Secretary Ameising Luikham has been given additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. Anoop Kumar Srivastava, Secretary, Department of Border Management in MHA, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat. Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Secretary Dr Anup K Pujari has been given the additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Steel. Meanwhile, Vijaylakshmi Joshi, Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, has withdrawn her VRS application.
