A bench led by Chief Justice of India T S Thakur, who also heads the collegium in the top court, had an in-chamber hearing on Monday with Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi, representing the Centre. Rohatgi was called inside the chamber of the CJI, where Justice Thakur examined the files relating to judges’ appointments. As the entire proceeding remained completely secret, one of the PIL petitioners, Amar Singh, returned home clueless about the fate of his plea after waiting for long outside Courtroom Number 1. Online Anguish When Delhi BJP leader R P Singh tweeted about a “second Innova car” being stolen from his residence in 10 months, he received many interesting responses. While one person blamed the AAP government for being unable to control crime, even though Delhi Police reports to the Union home ministry, another asked him not to buy an Innova again.
