Alleging that “government terrorism” forced Dalit scholar Rohith Vemula to commit suicide, BSP chief Mayawati said on Wednesday that “securing justice for the Dalit community is becoming increasingly difficult”.

Condemning the behaviour of “two senior ministers of the Narendra Modi government” towards Vemula, she said: “This behaviour that if you are against policies of the BJP government, then you are our enemy and you would be tortured through government terrorism is condemnable and non-democratic.”
