The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to release the draft electoral rolls for Gujarat and Tamil Nadu on Friday, following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in the state.
The Commission had earlier, in a press release issued on November 4, notified the conduct of Phase II of the SIR across nine states, including Gujarat.
As per the Election Commission, voters will have one month to submit claims and objections after the draft roll is published. This includes requests for inclusion, deletion or correction of entries in the electoral roll.
Voters can check their details on the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Gujarat, and raise objections online. The Commission has said reasons for deletion of names will be provided as part of the process to ensure transparency.
Voters can verify whether their names appear in the draft roll — and whether they have been marked as absent, shifted or deleted — through the CEO Gujarat website.

On the homepage, scroll down to the ‘Electoral Rolls’ section and select the ‘year of revision’ as on ‘2026’.
This will open a page containing district-wise voter information linked to the SIR exercise.
The page will displays a table listing all 33 districts of Gujarat, along with a ‘Show’ option next to each district. Click on ‘Show’ for your district to proceed.
A list of Assembly constituencies under the selected district will then appear. Clicking on the relevant constituency opens a Google Drive folder containing booth-level voter data in PDF format.
You may also search for your name on https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/ using your EPIC Number.
The folder contains multiple PDFs, labelled by taluka names, village names, or polling booth and part numbers. Voters should open the PDF corresponding to their polling booth.
Booth numbers were mentioned on the forms issued to voters during the SIR exercise. If this information is unavailable, voters can contact their Booth Level Officer (BLO) for assistance.
Each booth-level PDF includes a summary report prepared by the BLO, detailing the total number of voters and the number classified as deceased, permanently migrated, duplicate or absent.
Below the summary is a detailed list of voters whose names have been removed, along with their serial numbers, EPIC numbers, and the specific reason for deletion.
Following the release of the draft roll, District Election Officers will provide hard and soft copies of the electoral rolls to representatives of recognised political parties.
Voters can submit claims and objections from December 19, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
Apart from the CEO Gujarat website, voters can also verify their details through voters.eci.gov.in, the ECINET mobile app, or by contacting their BLO, Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant ERO.
Election authorities have urged voters to verify their details within the stipulated period to ensure that eligible voters are not excluded and ineligible names do not remain in the electoral roll.
This intensive revision found that nearly 40 lakh voters have permanently shifted, particularly from industrial hubs like Ahmedabad and Surat. If you moved during the pandemic and haven’t updated your address, your name may have been removed from your old location.
