Man held for burning wife alive

Gita Haiburu,her husband Janesh Haiburu of Burudi village were having regular fight over various issues.

A man was arrested for allegedly burning alive his wife and dumping the body in a well in Odisha’s Sundargarh district,police said on Monday.

Gita Haiburu (35) and her husband Janesh Haiburu (43) of Burudi village under Tangarpalli police station were having regular fight over various issues.

During one such quarrel on the night of October 25,Janesh poured kerosene on his wife and set her on fire,the sources said adding he then dumped the body in a well near his house.

On October 27,the villagers spotted the body in the well. Janesh was arrested yesterday after he confessed his crime.
