A day after a panchayat passed an order against her love marriage,a girl here has gone missing under mysterious circumstances with her father alleging that she has been murdered by her husband,police said here today.

In a police complaint,the girl’s father alleged that his daughter was killed and later buried by her husband,who,he said,was not ready to accept the panchayat order,which asked him to marry her sister with his brother-in-law.

The panchayat,on last Friday,had asked the youth,a resident of Tisang village in Shamli town here,to marry his sister with his wife’s brother after the couple refused to comply with its earlier order of getting separated.

The girl had married the youth after eloping with him four months ago and was living with him,compelling his father to approach the panchayat opposing the marriage.

Meanwhile,police said it is probing the matter and permission to dig out girl’s body from the place where she was allegedly buried after murder is being sought from the district administration.
