The IIM professor found murdered at her official residence inside the high-security campus of the Institute near here was not raped before being killed,police said.
The 32-year-old professor Amrita Pancholi was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by an unidentified assailant causing grievous injuries following which she died,they said.
The post-mortem report ruled out sexual assault on her and said she died due to deep wounds inflicted on her chest,police said.
Meanwhile,a police team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Crime Jitendra Singh reached Udaipur to probe the professor’s life.
“We are probing the case from all angles including involvement of any person from her past life,” Singh told PTI from Udaipur.
