Ex-Army officer arrested for molesting minor

A retired Army officer has been arrested by the city police for allegedly molesting a minor.

Lt Col Tejinder Singh,who runs a training institute in Kondhva area,was arrested on Sunday night. He is accused of misbehaving with the Class IX student who was attending his tuition class,according to a complaint filed by her parents.

The matter came to light when the girl refused to go to tuition for the abacus maths examination,police said.

48-year-old Singh has been charged under section 354 of IPC (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
