A 22-year-old JNU girl student was allegedly stabbed by her lover who later committed suicide by slitting his wrist this morning inside classroom number 203.
The man,who was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre,has reportedly died.
The girl was taken to Safdarjung Hospital,where she is presently undergoing a surgery.
The victim has been identified as Roshni and the accused as Akash. Police said,the incident was reported at 11.15 am. Sources said the man identified as Akash had reportedly planned the murder since he came armed with an axe and a knife.
The couple,both of whom are final year students pursuing Korean language at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)’s School of Languages had an argument.
Sources said the man suspected Roshni of having an affair with someone else. Following an argument,Akash picked up his axe and attacked the girl before slitting his wrist.
As of now,it is unclear if and whether there were other students who witnessed the incident.
