4 nabbed in hoodwinking public

Four persons were recently nabbed by City Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths in different cases of cheating.

Mohammad Mahim and Rameez Ashraf Vani,natives of Baramulla in Kashmir were arrested for cheating public in the name of multi-level and net marketing schemes by offering them attractive eight nights-seven days stay packages in five-star hotels across the world,a CCB release said.

In another case,Shabia alias Mukhtar Ali (31) and Mustafa (22) were nabbed for hoodwinking the public by keeping one or two original dollars on bundles of white paper and selling them at lower rates.

The CCB team recovered three bundles of 20 dollar notes and five bundles of one dollar from the culprits.
