Congress moves EC on BJP ad using ‘distorted videos’

The Congress Tuesday moved the EC against what it termed was the BJP’s “malicious” use of cropped and distorted videos and attempts to link the party’s campaign with billionaire-philanthropist George Soros.

On X, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said: “The Congress Party lodged a complaint against the BJP’s malicious attempts to link the Congress campaign to George Soros… Not only are these materials… false, they are also mala fide and… defamatory. The ECI was requested to take immediate action against the authors of this low-level campaign, as well as issue instructions for its recall.”
