Delhi minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Wednesday, December 3, lashed out at Congress over a social media post that shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi selling tea. Late last night, Congress leader Ragini Nayak sparked a row for sharing an AI-generated video of PM Modi, in which he could be seen walking with a kettle and glasses at what appears to be a global event.

Adding chaos to the Parliament proceedings during the ongoing Winter Session, the post drew massive backlash for mocking the prime minister’s humble chai-selling background.

Sirsa, in a post on X, blasted Congress for “stooping further low” and condemned the grand old party for only “honouring privilege of name and money”.

“Shocked to see INCIndia stoop further low that the party & its leaders start mocking PM Narendra Modi Ji’s humble chai-seller background through AI-generated video,” the Environment Minister said.

“This video shows what has gone wrong with Congress’ mindset. Instead of debating governance and ideas, they choose to belittle a great leader like Modi Ji who rose through hard work, struggle, nationalism and determination. This video is an insult of every Indian. Congress only honours privilege of name & money and this is exactly why Congress keeps losing… not just elections, but the respect of the masses,” he added.

Post ‘exposes the depraved mindset of the Congress leadership’

Senior BJP leader CR Kesavan, in a sharp-worded response, stated that Nayak’s post “exposes the depraved mindset of the Congress leadership”.

“This disgusting tweet by the Congress is a grievous insult to the 140 crore hardworking meritorious Indians, and it is a direct attack by the Congress on the OBC community,” Kesavan said.

“The Congress leadership and Rahul Gandhi hate the fact that the people of India continue to bless and choose PM Narendra Modi ji, who has come up through dedication and hard work as opposed to the arrogant and entitled Rahul Gandhi, who has been repeatedly rejected by the people. The Congress party is a habitual offender when it comes to abusing PM Modi and even his late mother. The people of India will teach the degenerate Congress a punitive lesson,” he added.
